    Gregg Yaeger & Joel Whalen

    From cleaning ashtrays and starting in the stockroom in the original Downtown Monroe location, two great friends, Gregg and Joel Whalen, with the help of Gregg’s parents, Michael & Lois Yaeger, were able to buy in as co owners in 1992. Now in 2024, two brick and mortar locations and an online store have been born. We have since prioritized continuing the traditions dating back to 1846, when the store first opened. As well as incorporating a modern twist on the business that has grown in Monroe through five generations.
